The F5-72XX Diablo Spec R would fit this bill. It seems to fall perfectly between a medium and medium heavy and has a fast taper. This chart will help show it a little better as well.

Thanks Mark , the Diablo xx would be almost perfect if the tip would be softer . And the fast would be faster. The rod I played with was more med fast than fast .. I was looking it the swing fire but that is alittle to soft for me

Just picked up a Megabass Destroyer Evoluzion F4-65ti ONE-TEN STICK. I am excited to get it. I am only 5'6" tall, so I think the 6 4 rod will be awesome. My 6 8 rods are great, but this should be a game changer. Has anyone used this rod?

How does the Javelin compare to the EMTF in terms of action and power. The both have the same specs but the Javelin is listed as med fast as opposed to the EMTF that is listed as fast.

Just got some new XXX rods in a couple weeks ago. All I have to say is DAMN SON. F7-70K, F4-610K and F5-68K. And these rods are pretty versatile. It's a shame they don't come in anything longer than 7', but me being 5'10" I feel they work really well.

If you're on the fence, don't be. It'll be the best $250 you've ever spent on a rod.

Recently broke a Diablo Spec R I loved for swim jigs (user break, not rod defect or anything of the sorts) with the trouble finding DSR's anywhere. Can anyone chime in on the Chimaera as a swim jig rod?

I have both and they are very very similar. Javelin seems to have a tad bit more power as it starts to bend over the EMTF but the difference is minimal at best.

Get one than it goes downhill from there because your going to want another and another and another. I should know i think i have like 10 of them now. Oh and dont try a steez reel either, they add up quick to.
