    Restocking the bourbon

Gonna spend some time in the liquor store tomorrow night. I've develpoed kind of a weird fascination with liquor stores lately. I've always liked the bourbon section but more now than ever.

looking at all single barrel stuff.

    knob creek
    eagle rare
    blantons
    woodford reserve
pappy van winkles (if I can find some I can afford)
    devils cut
    four roses

just to name a few. Not all at once but my bourbon shelf is low. Never had eagle rare before. Anyone had it? Blantons is amazing by the way!

A good website is LA whiskey. Rates all the bourbons and gives reviews.

Not a huge fan of makers. There are just so many good bourbons it's just downright tough to pick out a handful.

Buffalo Trace, 1792 ad Bulleit should be added to that list.

If you really enjoy good bourbon, you need a set of these- http://www.whiskeydisks.com

Elmer T. Lee gets my vote for the best, most reasonably priced bourbon I've had.

1835 Bourbon.................only reason I bring it up as I got a bottle of it from my BIL & his wife for Christmas. Half of it was gone by the 15th of this month .

I don't know if you'll find it around there but might be something to consider. I've had a lot on your list but Pappy's (can't afford one myself) and Blantons. Everything else I have tried up to now including some Basil Hayden, Bookers and Jim Beam Honey.

Bought some four roses small batch tonight. It's pretty darn good! Think I'll get a bottle of knob creek single barrel tomorrow.

Okay, so this thread got me wanting to experiment. Not a big liquor drinker, but thought maybe one would be okay enough that I could acquire the taste. So I bought a small bottle of Buffalo Trace after work, poured a bit into a glass with ice, and took a sip. Then I breathed fire for about five minutes and dumped the glass out like it was the plague. How can anyone acquire a taste for that?! Free nearly full bottle of Buffalo Trace to first person that wants it though...

Why did you ruin it with ice?
