Great thread...I have a Skeeter SL 190 like the one pictured here. I just bought a Humminbird 698CI Kevin Van Dam model and used a RAM mount in the same location. Is the transducer in a good spot that close to the motor? I mounted mine to a 2' piece of pressure treated 2X4 and clamped it to the back of the boat in a similar location for sea trials prior to installation. It worked ok at slow speeds but definitely lost signal at higher speeds. Was wondering whether this was a better location for all speeds?

You should use a shoot-thru XP 9 20 2D transducer with your boat and the SI transducer can be above the hull bottom for idle speed scanning.

Use the AS SIDB Y cable to connect the two transducers to the display.

None of the pictured transom SI transducers are at the bottom of the hull so it can give depth readings when on plane.

Custom bracket at motor mount for SI. High speed thru hull transducer used in conjunction with Y cable.

Temporary mount for 1198 up front to test before constructing more complex part. Tranducer Shield and saver mount for SI on the trolling motor and custom aluminum extension to clear shorter Edge trolling motors.

2006 Skeeter ZX190... HB 958c DI up front and HB 997c SI at the console. havent mounted GPS puck permanently at the console yet. cant decide if i want it at the console or at the back of the boat?
