Just something I thought of and wondering if it could possibly help or maybe even harm an outboard.

if one has the ability to hook a hose up directly to a hot water spicket outside, would it be a good idea to run the engine on muffs or even just hook up and run through the flush port to help flush the outboard out? Or could the hot water be harmful to the engine, parts, coolant system?

I’ve read many places where it says a warm water engine flush is better than a cold water engine flush, because it may do a better job of cleaning, getting rid of deposits, etc.
