For you and the Barnett family this Christmas is a special one. You’ve had several “special” Christmas’s now and God has had his hands in Hudson’s life for pushing well into his first decade. When we see an image like this we all smile, thank God, and we feel it deep in our chest and mind. We have a special interest as the Barnett family has shared their struggle and they’ve shared Hudson with each of us for over 6 years since his birth.

There’s more to this we can all learn from and use to remember everything we’ve seen when we get that feeling. The little things that often reward us, there will be few of us face a life changing event and have such an impact. The research specialists, doctors and staff at “Children’s” see this daily and they are to be appreciated. They have had an impact in Hudson’s life, the Barnett family and their friends, as well as each one of us. He makes their days special and I’m sure for every Hudson their tears fall over one less fortunate.

What we all can learn from this on this 2023 Christmas season is more. We all gave that glow to someone at some point as children and now it’s ours to receive. Every economic level of child has this glow in every land, every culture and continent.

Hudson gave us the unselfish joy of a child. He knows little other than it’s joy and he has yet to understand the pleasure his joy brings to each of us.
To Hudson he is just being who he is and to each of us we have a much deeper appreciation that he can enjoy what is a simple toy. This goes much deeper than Hudson, it’s the sincere expression of a child.

How did the eyes of a newborn child give so much.
As the birth of a child touches our life.

Through Hudson, he gives us all that trust in our faith that God has this all managed.

    Merry Christmas!

    Rick

Well said. I don’t know the family at all, but have followed along the little man’s journey on here. Some of his pictures make me sad, and some bring me great joy! I even share the pictures with my wife of the little guy! Hudson and the family are still in my prayers. Thank you, Jesus that he is on the mend! Great little dude! Stay strong buddy, a lot of people are pulling for you!

Merry Christmas Mr. Pierce! My wife and I just had an "allergy attack" over your well thought out post. God Bless you Sir! Merry Christmas!

On a side note, Hudson's O2 level was 99% today. He is off the lasix and magnesium and they reduced his Tacro (anti-rejection meds). He is doing SUPER. Thank you Lord!
