Been looking at the NOCO GB40 for a gift this year and asking if anyone that has used one has any likes or dislikes about it.
I have the GB30 and it works great but I often wished it had a bit more capacity. GB40 may be the answer. The one annoying thing about it is the charge degrades over time under the back seat of my truck. In the rare occasions I need it, it usually is not fully charged. Works well if the car just needs a boost. If the car doesn't want to start then the jump box will run out of charge fairly quickly.
Since you brought it to mind I just went and got it out of the truck and it has 75% charge. Been a couple of months since I charged it up.

I have the GB50. Used it to jump a car exactly one time in nearly a year. It worked. My daughter uses it occasionally to recharge her phone when she forgets her charger. I would buy it again.

I have a GB40 and it works great as a jump pack when fully charged. As mentioned earlier, it does lose charge over time and if you don't keep up charging it it will die on you.
It dies faster than you would think without being used too. I charged mine up in mid October sometime and my last trip of the year 11/1 it was dead.
I have a Booster Pac eb5000. Bought it 16 years ago and it still works fine. I take it every tournament just in case and have loaned it out to guys whose big motor battery wasn't charged. Started the motor and ran the live well for 7 hours.
I have the GooLoo 1200 amp. It has helped me out on the lake a few times with jump starting and my cell phone.

I've had one for a couple years. I've used it twice, 2nd time was last week. It had been sitting in my truck for a year and I guess the battery got a little weak, it wouldn't start the car. I charged it up and tried it the next day. The car started on the first try.
I bought a GB 50 over a year ago. Went to use it and the power button doesn't work. Google it, seems like that's not a rarity.
I am very happy with my GB70
I went with Audew also, been very satisfied with it. I paid $69 for it through Audew's site...

I have one that I thought was strong enough for my truck. I learned last week I was wrong when it used like 70% of its charge to halfway turn it over. So I'm in the market for a new one, myself. NOCO is kind of the standard, but a new one is catching my eye, primarily since it has self-heating capability for better performance in the cold. It's called "Hulkman." I'm leaning that direction as of now.
Here's the one I'm leaning toward, the Hulkman Alpha85S: https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/2...c&ref_=ast_bln

I have the GB40 and have used it several times to start my 200 HPDI, as well as a 200 OptiMax. Also started my dad's F150 that had .7 volts in the battery and his Subaru that had 1.2 volts, one right after the other. Mine holds a charge for a long time. I charge it about twice a year.
I have one that gets used once a month. I've had it for 4 years and still does good when needed.
I have the GB70 and it started up my 2006 ford 6.0 diesel without issue. Both batteries were dead.
Very happy with it. I always keep it in my boat. I do not drive the truck unless I'm towing the boat.
