    Even a good finish at the last northern open could put him in the elites. He is in 2nd place for the opens and has a 24 point lead over 5th

    If he qualifies (and I think he will), it will be interesting to see if he accepts. If he does return, it speaks volumes about the mlf. Just my opinion.

    I'd like to see him back and fill an elder statesman roll in BASS. The guy is an awesome fisherman; I just have to make sure I have my finger on the mute button whenever he catches a fish.

    I'd like to see him back on the Elites. If he decides to do it I think it's admirable he went the route of qualifying again instead of taking a legends exemption.

    I think after Swindle and Palaniuk that BASS will only give exemptions if the angler requesting it is/has been fishing a full division of the BASS Opens. Last year Ike did not so no exemption was offered.
