My old Guide Wear lasted for twenty years, Replaced them last year and I am very impressed with all the improvements they have made. I like the non insulated one the best, just layer up underneath when it is real cold
    Thank You Leon Pugh

Many good brands out there. Bottom line is "you get what you pay for". I have always preferred Gill and highly recommend their many different products for many different situations when it comes to foul weather gear. The FG2 Tournament suit is specifically designed for tournament anglers. The vortex hood is great and stays in place when running at high speeds.

I have a different view on this. I wear clothes to keep me warm and use some cheap FroggToggs to stay dry. But I only fish once a week when I’m lucky. Some years I barley need it others I use them it seems every trip. It keeps me dry and in the summer I don’t get overheated.

I fished in Louisiana last week. It rained 5 of the 6 days I fished and I put my new Gill suit to good use. It was great. I had Guide Wear previously, but the Gill is much better in my opinion. Also recommend their balaclava and fleece layering quarter zip. Both were comfortable and warm.

My vote is BPS Pro Qualifier as well. I have had mine 12 years and they look like I just got them. No ware or ripped seams anywhere. Dry as a bone. I got the BPS zip in jacket (100mph) to go with it. Awesome set up. They are expensive for sure but in the end it has surpassed my expectations.

I have to agree on tournament jacket and bibs. Seems reasonably priced for what you get. It has multiple layers so more for spring/summer/fall but they have lighter Gill options for summer

Bought my first set of Guidewear 19 years ago and it's just now starting to fall apart. Bought another set last year and love the improvements they've made. I live in Florida so my rain gear has seen some serious rain time. Highly recommend the Guidewear, and as stated above, it's on sale now.

My best rain gear is my house. Don't care tipo fish in heavy rain. I do have the frabil suit and it was good for a while. But the shoulders leak.

I know this is an older post but I been wearing the Kokanee bibs from Rivers West for the past year and they have been awesome! Totally dry and warm and not too bulky. And for half the price of the bigger name outfits.
