canoe fishing the Skokie Lagoons about 10 miles North of Chicago
My biggest fish in Illinois. 5.25lb. at Clinton. Caught it on a handmade balsa crank on my favorite glass blank that I build.
Sorry aout the crappy picture. I didn't have my camera with me at the time, had to use my phone.
She was 6lbs13oz. Caught, photoed, and released for some one else.

In my right hand 6.53, Mill Creek late March 2008, 3/16 oz Blk&Blu bitsy bug with paca craw trailer. big bass of the year that season. Left hand the 4 lb one I caught first from the same spot about 3 minutes earlier.
(and I wear my wedding band all the time)

I know this pic was taken close, but it was the best I could do by myself. I do not have small hands btw... insert joke here.She went 21.5", no scale.
Caught by my Dad on our last outing together at Mill Creek. Needless to say I was skunked and he managed to catch three that day.
OK...The first pic is my son Christopher holding a Lake Kincaid 5 lb. 0 oz. Largemouth caught on a Jewel Jig in 8 ft of water. I actually caught the fish but he wanted to try to hold it...released. The second pic is an Ohio River Largemouth caught at Galconda, IL on a Flesh colored E-Factor Spinnerbait. He was 5 lbs. 2 oz.
And I have to brag a little about the 3rd pic. Although not caught in IL, these 2 were caught on Jewel Jigs in Dunnellon, Florida 15 minutes apart from one another. One went 10.8 lbs and the other went 10.2 lbs. This pic was posted in the 2004 February Edition of BassMaster Magazine in the Lunker Club section.... Both were released. They were caught on the Withalacoochie River! Sorry for the quality. It was scanned from the magazine because we lost the original..

That was probably my best day on the lake. My best five fish that day were 5.25, 4.5. 3.25 and two 3's.......I would LOVE to do that everyday.

I think we all wish for that here in IL Scott. That would be a payday of some sort in a lot of tourneys
