By a land slide Weiss Lake won the September vote. Sign up here and I will keep a list in this post. Again someone needs to suggest a ramp and post the directions. I've never fished this lake so I'm lost. We'll meet at 5:15am and weigh-in time will be at 3:00pm.

Bay Springs is fairly easy to find , but there are a few other ramps close by . i usually go through gadsden

I didn't get any pics. When I set up the weigh-in equipment and I am involved with the weigh-in/payout process I don't have time to take any pics. I hope Avery was able to take some.

How about the causeway ramp right on hwy9 in between Centre and Cedar Bluff....It's free,near the middle of the lake,and has plenty of parking

There is also a ramp right behind Citgo on hwy. 411. It is the ramp located in the canal between powerhouse lake and Weiss. Has plenty of parking, new double ramp, rest rooms, big docks to tie to, and the Citgo opens at 5am with a killer B'fast.

Just buy gas somewhere else, I've had to empty water out of my filter a few times after I've got gas there.

Like todd said, there are several ramps in that area. It makes no difference to me where we launch.

The ramp Damstripper is talking about is fine or the one at Bay Springs is fine. I always use Bay Springs but the one behind Citgo sounds fine also.

Just checked out a couple of possible routes to Weiss on Mapquest and it looks like it's going to be about a 3 hour and 40+ minute drive for me. At least Chris will only have to drive about an hour and 30 minutes from Kennasaw this time, though, so I guess it's a trade off.

Sure hope this is gonna be worth it.....

Okay, I just got back from driving up to Weiss Lake and checking out a couple of the ramps. By far the best ramp is the Leesburg Landing ramp. This is the ramp behind the Citgo station on Hwy 411. At the Citgo station you turn on to Riverside Drive and drive straight to the ramp. As mentioned, is has restrooms available and it has 4 ramps with plenty of parking space. I made a PDF map from my Map Source software and I will e-mail this to those who gave me their e-mail address. We will use this ramp.
