    Battery charger help

Guys I have a 2018 zx225 when I plug my batteries to charge when charging I accidentally touched my jack plate and I could feel static electricity and when I touch my prop as well. Does anybody know what this could be. I'm hoping for an easy fix my dealer is 2 hours away

Most likely is either a bad extension cord or outlet. Next most likely is that your boat is too far from the service ground for your house. Long extension cords or buildings without ground rods are common problems.

if it is the cord or the outlet, it will get hot

You’d only see that with an overload. That is not what is happening here

Thanks, guys.. It was either the outside outlet or extension cord.. I bought a new cord used the inside outlet of my house instead of the outside outlet problem solved no more current or static electricity from my prop or meatal on jack plate.. So either I had a bad extension cord or something going on with my outside outlet. maybe it's never been grounded and I just never noticed it with my other boat meaning I never touched the prop when batteries were charging.. Thanks so much guys you all just save me about 8 hours of driving time to dealer it's 2 hours one way!
