    You will need to use the steering clips no matter what toter you have right now.

    I use no steering clips at all. Motor is rock solid and does not move side to side. If yours does then you must have a issue with your hydraulic steering that needs to addressed.

    On the 4.6L V8 CMS 250 ProXS the use of the modified Motormate will only support the engine. If you have a SeaStar steering unit it will require 4" stops on each side of the cylinder to prevent the engine from moving port to starboard. Unlike the previous Opti 2 strokes where the Motormate was able to sit on the actual engine mid-section mounting bolts, the new V8 midsection surround cover prevents this. You must use the clips or the engine will slam side to side cornering/trailering.
