Saw it, and couldn't understand whey he didn't let the official pull it out either.
As for the official's unfriendly demeanor - it's hyped by the producer/director. I get that they're the B.O., but c'mon...lighten up a little.
Every once in a blue moon, you can catch a crack in the matrix...like you can plainly see that the B.O., cameraman, and angler were cracking up about something Just as the angler leans into a fish; thus, it can't be edited out.

Two hooks complicated it, I guess. I watched it. He got a little careless. Having been to the emergency room to get a hook out, it teaches you permanent caution.

Keith is a character for sure. I got to spend a half day in the boat with him a few years back when the elites came to Chickamauga to fish. It's never a dull moment for sure.
