How do you do it with the Solix? Do you need any additional wiring to do it?

I will be networking two Helix DI/SI and adding engine data. I came up with a list of required component??

(AS ETH 5PXG) 5 Port Ethernet Switch (3 AMP Fuse Required)

(AS ETH NMEA2K) NMEA2000 Black Box with Ethernet Connection
(AS EC 10E) 10' Ethernet Cable
(AS EC 20E) 20' Ethernet Cable
(AS EC QDE) Ethernet Adapter Cable used with HELIX 10 Series (Quantity 2)
    (124-69) NMEA Network Starter Kit
(120-37) Yamaha Engine Interface Cable for NMEA2000

What about the Ethernet cable to connect the AS ETH NMEA2K to the Ethernet Switch?

Yes, (AS GPS HS) Precision NMEA0183 GPS Receiver with Heading Sensor, I was told the antenna plugs directly into the Helix.

It will not give you any info for the NMEA2K backbone to be used for MPG, Speed or anything that needs GPS data.
