    2004 Champion 206

Test rode a 2004 Champion 206, with a Yamaha ox66 250 yesterday. I fell in love with the boat, and I'm picking it up in a week. What kind of speeds are you getting.

Nice! I bet the hole shot is pretty good with that OX66, they are pretty torquey. But where are the pics!! What's the setup - jack plate and prop?

The hole shot wasn't bad, considering it had s full tank of fuel, 2 guys, and the seller still had all of his tackle in it

I run the same rig. Jack plate is 3.5" below the pad. Just put a Bravo Pro 1 XS 26P. Love it. To windy to run top in so far but hole shot and mid range is the best of all I have tried. You will love the boat. Not a sports car but great in rouge water. Enjoy.

Buddy of mine has one that had a 225 Merc. He was seeing 65-66 loaded.
Last year he replaced the 225 with a 250 Pro XS and is getting 70.5 loaded, 72 low of fuel and solo.
If the set up is right, you should be in that ballpark.

I have the same boat, 2004 206 elite....LOVE IT...I have had Rangers and Tritons and will not give up my 206, I have a 225 hp and the Bravo 25P on it I am 300 pounds and with a partner and all our gear I get 62 to 65 with it but the bravo is the key to the hole shot, night and day from my Tempest and no loss in top end speed.

That is about what I have seen on our boards. Very close. It all depends the load and other factors. If set up right , those are going to be your speeds.
