    00 225 promax running temp

What kind of temp is normal for summer time? Mind seems to be in the 170-175 range and I'm not sure if that's too warm or ok. I'm not getting any kind of warning horn or anything I just don't want to have something going on and be oblivious of it. Thanks for any help

Mine runs 130-135 when idling and 120-125 WOT. By the way Jay what temp are the factory thermostats. I think I read somewhere it was 120.

Some were 125 some 145 according to the ambient water temps...

The temp reading is coming off the ole medallion gauge that came with my 92 Allison. I have good water pressure around 12-15 around 60 mph or so. That's why it's kinda confusing me

If you're using the factory-mounted temp sensor (in the cylinder head)... temp readings you're seeing may VERY WELL be off.

That setup is notorious for sending MANY a boater chasing "ghosts".
