    Do you mean bonito? aka skip jack? If so then they are on the smaller side compared to other tuna.

    8-10# is the most common size. Lots of fun on a fly rod or light spinning tackle.
    When they are schooling, they are aggressive. Have plenty of backing/line on your reel.

    Excellent fighters, excellent bait, very drak red meat and very bloody. Bonito strips make for great bait and the smaller ones 1-4 lbs make for good live bait for some bigger fish. Quite frankly most consider them a trash fish... me too.
