2004 Evinrude DI 150HO. No Forward Gear.

Any thoughts/help on this would be appreciated. I recently got all my seals and impeller replaced on the lower unit. I picked it up from the marina the other day and bolted it back up yesterday. When I went out today to test it make sure everything worked I found I have no forward gear. It just buzzes almost when I put it in forward. When I put it in reverse I get solid hookup and reverse works great. Anyone have any thoughts on what would cause this?

    Thanks

In doing some research do you think it might be the shift rod height? What's the proper way to measure this?

Wrong shift shaft height adjustment - was it even checked before installation?

    Shift cable adjustment

possible loose or worn linkage or cable

I didn't check the height I assumed the marina did it when they finished repairing the seals. What's the process of measuring it do I need any specially tools. I assume I have to drop the lower unit again.

Yes you will have to drop the lower to verify the measurement.
