Maybe not a big fish, but my partner caught the first musky any of us had ever seen today.

Island. I caught the only smallie, 17 inches, also a 21 inch walleye, 1 pike and 3 bite offs. Pretty slow day, water temp around 50.

Muskies are beautiful fish. I had one on at Oahe long enough for it to roll over and look at me, then bite off my rattletrap and scram.

I got my biggest musky and walleye on the same day a couple of years ago.

Have not been there since 2012. Did the weeds come back? Had the new boat out yesterday. Sorry but I am going to have to post an Iowa fish. I can't believe my first fish in the new boat was a 6 pounder.

Had an awesome day yesterday. Broke my personal best twice in 5 minutes. First I caught a 5lb 1oz smallie then a 5lb 15oz just a few casts later. And we had multiple 4 pounders. The best pay was showing up my buddy, who is a walleye guy that swears bass fishing is just easy. He wants to catch a 5 pounder so bad and have it mounted. Then I caught 2 and released both. He's having a hard time being happy for me right now.

Been a little dead in here since we can all fish now. Thought I'd spice things up with a few more good fish.

This first one was from New Johns lake and weighed 4-2.

Two of these were right at or just over 4 pounds. They came out of Spiritwood.

Oh yeah? Check out the monsters I caught Friday! I did catch 6 LMB and 2 pike, but came for the gills. Had to catch about 60 to cull out these mid-sized keepers. The dog (Boner) and I had a great time. Oops, the 3rd pic is from last year and my break is over.....back to work!
