This is where I store the net and bump board on my RT188. When the net handle is not extended, it lies flush with the floor.Attachment 97952

That's where my net was last spring, when my wife hooked a solid six-plus pounder and I missed trying to get LM in the boat bare-handed... I still here about that damn net leaning against the wall

I have had two friends in the last year get a hook in their hand (one deep down in the middle knuckle of the thumb--ouch!!!).... It happened trying to lip a bass into the boat. That is one reason I use a net a lot of the time now and I usually keep it laying on the floor next to the seats. Another is that I think it is less stressful to the fish than wearing and tiring it out enough to grab a lip...

I do use a rubber net because I think it does less damage to the fishes slime and also is a LOT less prone to grabbing a hook.

I got a Frabill Stow net. Sits in the space right next to the drivers seat behind the throttle control.

I use crankbaits ALOT and thats one of the reasons I went with a rubber net also. Got tired of untangling the hooks from the net every time we used it.

I keep mine crossways right behind the seats in my PT 175. Fits well there and is easily accessible by the passenger, yet out of the way when running. Don't have a great pic but you can kind of see it here.

Just use a short rod bungee to hold it down.

I have an Ego S2 slider and I keep mines on the back deck like in the pic but opposite side and use my rod strap to hold it down. No problems getting the treble hooks out of it and the net floats.

I've went both ways, if you got it u don't need it, if you don't u wish u had it. so
i use it if the bass thinks he's over 5/lbs, if under i don't. i mount consol/vertical using one
household broome handle clamp,(metal or hard rubber clamp (rubber preferred -push/pull )
rubber net/ext handle ,short handle ok,long u may have to cut.partners ask for net as
    wanted !

Which slider model do you have? The really short handle or the longer handle model? They make some pretty long ones.
