Many thanks Nikonman - just received the LED cluster from your side of the pond and fitted to a 175 Optimax. I have a side mount throttle box where the horn is internal. The aux loom for the smartcraft has purple and tan wires - quite an easy fit as I thought at one stage I would have to open the throttle box. Perfect 'upgrade' to the horn.
Fantastic amount of info on this website guys !
    Cheers
    Jeff

    Jeff:

Do NOT utilize the purple wire and tan w/blue stripe on any Smartcraft Harness. They are NOT for the engine warning horn (these leads are utilized ONLY for a "low depth warning" when the system is utilized with a Smartcraft Depth Transducer).

You WILL need access to the purple and tan w/blue stripe wires from the IGNITION SWITCH harness (currently inside the control box).

Simply wire the LED (12V) in PARALLEL with the warning horn.

    At the horn:

    Purple: 12V+ Key-Switched power.

Tan w/Blue Stripe: 12V- Signal Wire (activates the horn).
