Nice captures Swingin' a 300mm too Hope you dont mind, I copied the EXIF data to show a few here the settings that you captured at. This one is from the first photo. I personally would like to see a few guys post their EXIF with the photo's. I believe it would help us all learn.

EXIF DATA DELETED AT THE REQUEST OF ALAN..........

Alan, I removed the EXIF data this time.......I won't the next time if you elect to NOT take the time and block such data. Remember it's the web and these things are free to anyone. You can go to your photo hosting account and elect to NOT share your EXIF data if you don't want it posted. You or anyone that post a photo to the web and elects to not block this...tough luck on the posters part.

Alan, did you shoot these through any filter? I believe my 7D's exposure is a little bright at " 0 "... as of late I've been setting it down - 1/3 to 2/3 of a step, in short "darkening" the image. Granted virtually all glass will be different, as well, any filter will change the image clarity and exposure. I'm headed to FL in a few weeks and will attend the NHRA Gator Nationals ( drag races ) and hope to capture a few worth while photo's.

No filter, just mucked around with colour in Faststone to give a bit of punch, mainly gave a a lick of contrast, a little touch of extra saturation n a little lick of sharpen..

it was stinking hot & bright sun most of the morning, Its summer down here & its not very nice light after 10 till about 300 ATM, pretty harsh, pretty damn hot.
