Last questions I promise. I don't have iPilot Link, but to connect my ultrex mega transducer to my Helix 12 I'll need MKR-MI-1 and if I want to network the 898c si I'll need an AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet Switch with an adapter cable and an ethernet cable to have everything networked? Sorry for my ignorance.
    I BELIEVE!!!!

Yes for three displays takes the Ethernet Switch and three Ethernet cables.
Don't need the Ethernet Adapter for the 898, it has the threaded Ethernet port in the center of the back of the unit and is not a quick disconnect like with a Helix. Just need the Adapters for the two Helix units.

The Switch is 12V powered so it needs that circuit/fuse/disconnect switch.

Post #6 in this topic has an illustration of the back of the 898.

Thanks for this post on routing the transducer cable on terrova Doug. I’m going to give this a go, what would the best glue be to use?

I have Helix 7 G3N at console with an AS GPS HS mounted at stern and a non-Link Ultrex. I want to add Helix 9 G4N to bow with MegaLive and link it to the console Helix. In order to have the bow unit display accurate GPS location and boat direction will I need another AS GPS HS puck at the bow or can I utilize the Helix 9 internal GPS antenna and have the boat direction come from the stern AS GPS HS puck through the network? I really like having boat direction indicated on the GPS map while the boat is still.

A Helix unit will not subscribe to Heading separate from GPS.

Either move the AS GPS HS to the bow and connect it to the Helix 9 and replace the AS GPS HS with the AS GRP or have two AS GPS HS antennas.

I'm looking to add a 2nd Humminbird to my boat at the console and trying to see how much more I might have to spend. I currently have a Helix 10 DI CHO connected to an Ultrex link and Mega 360. I would like to add a Helix 10 SI with transducer at the console. Would I need a networking hub to have both units communicate with each other?

Yes if you have iPilot LINK connected to the unit you have and want to keep that connection. Helix units have a single Ethernet port.

Thanks, Wayne. I just picked up a Helix 10 SI and I have an XNT 9 20 T transducer from my old core series. Can I use that as my high speed transducer with the y cable? Is it a high speed transducer? Or do I have to get the XNT 9 HW T?

The standard 2D frequency for the G3N and G4N's is HW CHIRP. If you want your unit to perform as a G4N, you need to use a HW CHIRP transducer. The HW CHIRP piezo is Low-Q CHIRP rated.

    The 20 is a 83/200 kHz 2D transducer--20 stands for 20 degree spec coverage of 200 kHz.

XNT is a transom transducer and the 2D models are smaller (more hydrodynamic) than the Imaging transducers so getting on-plane Depth/2D sonar is easier=that is why it is referred to as "high speed".
A better option if your hull is suitable is to install a Shoot-thru (XP).
The installation instructions for the SI+ transducers is to have it above the hull bottom which eliminates its performance for on-plane use (high speed).

I have another question about connecting M360 and an ultrex link. Is the correct Y cable I need the 9 M360 2DDI Y for my Helix?

It depends on the transducer connected with the M360. LINK is not a transducer.
