I couldn't believe it, I threw in a texas rigged soft plastic in the river behind my house today(1/20/2007) and actually caught 3 Largemouth...2 pee-wee's and a keeper. It was 25º out and it was on the edge of ice and open water (5'-6' deep).
Get your rods/reels back out

haha yeah like i am fishing for pike when the ice is gone! hahah its cool man, thank God for the early catch and release season!!!!! First thing the DNR has done right in the state!!!!
Nice fish... I only wish I had open water around my house. I need to go do some uhhh.... pike fishing
