Anybody fished flat lake/shell cuts/sorrel lately? Thinking about trying to make a trip.

Today was slow. We went to Flat Lake and the grass beds are not up yet. Caught a few keepers on senkos in the clear water at the backs of canals. I was looking for topwater action, which is the reason I love this area at this time of year. With no grass, the frog bite was dead. The perch and sac-a-lait were biting pretty good. We caught some in Bear Bayou.

Re: Spillway South Reports (Rocket MaN)

Fished in canal off Little Bayou Sorrel where water was draining thru a cut and caught over 10 bass on cranks, but only 2 over 14". Missed a few that seemed nicer. Goggle-eye were plentiful also. Water was still a half foot high, but was falling and this area should become dynamite by next weekend barring no unforeseen rise.
