    10:00-2:00 aug. 17th
water stained to clear, caught about 15 fish
    shakey head and finesse worm
    spinner bait and crankbait.
most fish on the shakey head were 12-15 inches
the fish on the spin and crank were 15-19 inches
had a decent day, don't have water temps for ya but i would say in the mid 80's

A fresh report might renew some interest in this place. These are conditions and results from a couple of small tournies the last two weekends:

    24 July 2011: Hot, muggy. 90's with a SW wind 5 - 10. Water: stained to murky and 88 - 91 surface temp.
Results: 7 boats entered wtih 1st place @ 16.20 (5 fish), 2nd place @ 14.93 (5 fish) and Big bass @ 5.54. Many fish being caught on plastics on main lake and bigger coves. Some also caught using crankbaits on wood and rocks.

    31 July 2011: Hot, muggy, 90's with a variable wind 0 -5. Water: stained and 88 - 92 surface temp.
Results: 9 boats entered with 1st place @ 19.5 (5 fish), 2nd place @ 17.0 (5 fish) and big bass weighing in @ 5.8. Much the same pattern/baits as 24 July with some good fish being caught on various jig/craw combos. A few also taken on spinnerbaits, yet the plastics bite still seems dominant.

Fish still biting here. Sunday August 7 was another hot day in the 90's with high humidity. Mostly sunny with a south to west wind 0-5 mph. Water was stained to murky (1 - 2 foot visibility) and 86 - 90 surface temp. The local tourney had 9 boats with 18.69 taking first (5 fish) and a 5.63 winning big bass. Many fish caught on jigs and plastics all over the lake at all depths. Some crankbait fish also being caught on points and rocks.

Re: Washington County Lake, Washington Co (copperhead)

Third time out here this year. Water is cold and dirty, 39-45 and high (falling). Only had one bite today but it made it in the boat. TX rigged beaver bait (black) around a bush. The warming trend on tap for next week should kick this place into gear. Stay tuned......

First time on lake (beautiful lake and campground) fished last fri 5 hours not a tap. Water temp 86.9 stained wind minimal. Fished sat morn 7 am (late start) fished till 5pm 18 bass all keepers except 2 . largest keeper 4.11 smallest keeper 2.8 all on 6" black grape culprit in 4-6' water slowly crawled. Tried c/r same bait in deeper water off points nothing. I love fishing deep water but this lake makes me appreciate the old days of bank pounding. Fished Sunday in the rain water temp dropped 10 degress wind out of the south 8-10 mph caught three bass all three good fish over two pounds healthy chunks. Great place good little bait shop he carry's quite a few soft baits in usable colors John is very knowledgeable and willing to help you out.
