That is a new look for shag carpet. Really what is that fuzzy stuff on that crankbait???
Genuine leopard skin!! It is not a real crank, was playing around with some photosoftware the other night making a design for my daughter and this is what we came up with!!
I can't compete with 99% of these guys, But here goes noth'in.
The big lipless crank floats and works awesome... This will make a great spring time bait. The small top waters are great too...
BTW... I tie my own dressed trebels with two feathers to mimic a tail fin.
My girl makes the ear rings..

I was surprised how easy this was following your steps. I kinda wish I went straight with the lateral line, instead of following the lateral line molded into the bait. Oh well.

vision knock-off -- stain reaction attempt
-here's mine
-heres the real thing
-the original was a bit boring, so i added a little more color.
-
the reason for the unusual, lumpy looking belly is; the vision body's are all floaters, and i'm still working with weighting them to suspend. There's suspendstrips hiding in the belly.

I spiced mine up with a little more blue on the back.

vision knock-off- table rock shad
-the bottom pic doesn't show how bright the purple is, and the baits a bit dusty. in reality, it's very bright purple with clear epoxy. oh well. :-)

spray paint craw pattern with Megabass/Lucky Craft style claws on bill

the craw patten isn't that slick, the focus was on getting the claws to come out. no complaints there. :-)
-for those not familiar, here's a couple examples of the claws on the bills I was trying to replicate
