    HDS Pro Question

You have a HDS Pro unit connect to the new HD transducer.
Are you able to share the transducer thru the HDS Pro over the network to a HDS Live unit.
Or would the HDS Live need the S3100 module in order for it to use the HD transducer?

My understanding is that it will share the HD transducer. I'm sure someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong.

So you are saying that the older HDS Live 12 graph can share the new HD transducer of the HDS Pro?

It's just sharing the image. Same as any other transducer over Ethernet.

So would you be able to select scan frequencies from the Live or would you need to select on Pro? Also, would nosecone for Ghost be plugged into channel 1 (my pro is on bow, live at console)?

It's actually sharing the sonar data and produce the image locally, just like it would if connected to a sonar module (SonarHub, S3100 or S5100).

HDS LIves do not have the mega frequencies that the HD Pro has so you cannot set it from your LIve without the A3100

From software 23.3 it is possible to select mega frequencies from the live if the AIHD transducer is connected to a Pro. Only the Pro is capable of pinging the mega frequencies, though.

In the case of a Live connected to a Pro doesn't the Pro serve as the 3100?
