2020 Z520c - stereo question

Getting ready to install a stereo in the my z520c. I’m planning on installing the speakers in (what I believe to be) the factory location, beside and front of the step down, facing each other. I’m unsure where I’ll put the unit, I’m thinking about ordering the mount for a z520L, above the t box. I have the speakers and the same size stereo as factory but no mount yet.
Questions,
1 Anything to look out for on wire routing, and,

2 Any recommendation on where you’d mount the unit.

Notes- Not interested in just putting in a Bluetooth speaker.

Do you happen to have Lowrance graphs? Sonic hub was a great option for me.

A couple good Bluetooth speakers and a phone or iPad will get the same results without cutting holes in your boat. They also won’t impact future resale value. It had to be said….

When I had a Ranger with a stereo, it was mounted under the lid to the drivers side rod box from the factory. Something like this one on Amazon.

In my C boat installed speakers here and I used a 3in round radio put it where speedo was did not need the speedo so I took it out. thumbnail_IMG_20210911_160224419.jpg
