    Z519 cooler drain

I was cleaning out some clutter in the center step compartment on my boat and noticed that the drain does not look like it is drilled all the way through, and not being able to let water drain out. I've never used this compartment before as a cooler, always used the one in front of the starboard console.

Has anyone else had a boat come like this? Attachment 565921

On my '19 521L the step cooler drain goes straight thru, but has a step to keep a plug from being pushed straight thru. Shop-vac the debris out & look again. Yours also looks like there might be some kind of bottle cap in the drain as well. I can see the bottom of my boat thru mine & nothing in the drain with a lip like yours appears to have.

The bottom of the drain on mine is hard, almost like its fiberglass. I have tried poking it with a screwdriver and it doesn’t budge.

How about putting some water in it and see if it drains to the back drain and out before u start drilling.
