I’ll go first. I have had 6 different makes so far and Caymas is probably my last stop. They are built solid, ride and fish great and the fit and finish is right on. They do a great job in the battery compartment and wiring throughout. I’m not high on the medallion gauge that they use but its really not to bad once you get it setup. The CX21 will not be as fast as your BassCat no matter what. A lot of guys are claiming 70 + but I’ve not seen it. I’m sure PatriotAW4 will be along shortly telling you that you need to buy the new Triton XP series with a Yamaha. But you should definitely look at a Caymas. Oh and it is rated for a 300 as well so you should see 70 plus.

My previous (5) bass boats were Triton's, the last two being 21 TRX's. I purchased a 2022 CX21/Mercury 250 ProXS 4S. Like others have stated, it's not a speed demon but 70mph is respectable for a boat this size. I love everything about my CX21, except the Benchmark trailer. I'm running a worked Tempest Plus 24P and have seen 72. Full gear, partner and full livewells, you are looking at 68.

I previously had a Nitro (18.5ft w/150), Triton 21xd (250 Merc), and a Nitro Z20 (250 Merc). Bought a 2020 CX21 Demo in the Spring of 2021 w/250 Merc and I really love it. The cons are the Medallion Gauge as stated above but really only the fuel level portion of that. Also, as stated it's not a race car it's more of a Cadillac. I run a 4 blade 23 Razor XL and solo it will see 69 loaded 66-67 and I'm fine with that. Ride is great. Layout is great. It fishes great. Overall I would buy again!

I am not a bass boat expert as I've only owned two bass boats, 2021 Xpress X19 and 2021 Caymas CX20. First time I rode in a Caymas was on a guide trip and was really impressed with the looks and ride. Wanting to jump to a glass boat, sold my Xpress and bought a Caymas. One of the selling points was the overall fit and finish which is impressive. The ride is comfortable and can handle the big water lakes. The compartment are large, good for storage. The overall layout is really nice and well put together. All the wiring is neatly run and tucked away. Easy access to pumps and hoses. My servicing dealer is top notch (Clark Marine) and anther selling point for me was that Caymas was right down the road (45min) if I had any major issues with it. Caymas customer service is excellent. Miss Carol (Parts Request but she pretty much runs Caymas) and Rick, (Warranty) are excellent people! The Benchmark trailer is something to be desired as it has a rather small sweet spot for loading but you once you know it you are good. Keep a close eye on your trailer brake pads. I had one disintegrate which destroyed the rotor hub assembly. Parts were covered under warranty but I replaced them myself as Clark does not do trailer work. Robbie at Benchmark is a good dude! Boat wise, had the gel coat crack on bow, my bow panel went out, which was all repaired/ replaced under warranty. Also have the typical fuel gauge reading issues to which there isn't really a viable fix, also the Medallion Gauge could be better. I bought the Mercury Vessel View to more accurate readings. Periodically check your transom and jack plate mounting bolts as mine have loosed over time. Lastly their resale value is not the best so if you are one to flip boats every year or two might want to consider another brand. Overall still think its very nice bass boat. Was looking at trading it on a FXR20 but after reading all the issues with Skeeters fit and finish decided against it. I see you are in TN, not sure of your exact location but if you need a demo ride let me know. Good luck in your decision.

Great boat, Benchmark trailer is garbage.
23 Fury with 2 degree wedges and 5 lithium batteries, 66-69 mph tournament loaded.
Coming Out of a 521 Ranger, ride is comparable.
love the layout and everything about the boat.
    Battery compartment is awesome.
