I have had my AT 2 for 8 months and honestly have hardly used it, primarily because I do not understand what I see nor do I see my bait, ever.
On my home lake the little minnow bait is all the rage so I picked some up and tried to figure it out. Although I caught a few the technique is really designed to use with FFS so I started trying it again but as before, cant see my bait or understand what I am looking at.
Now I know you all will laugh at me but while out yesterday it occurred to me to post up on a target so I got in front of a dock and turned it on, no dock or pilings on the screen.
After adjusting the transducer angle (a LOT) BOOM, dock pilings. Tried to get the perfect line and made a cast, BOOM, theres my bait, I am such an idiot.I even caught 2 fish video game style
So my actual question is I get 90% of the screen, the left side of the screen, that last 10% has no picture, any ideas?
The left side of the screen is the reading behind the transducer. And because the transducer is tilted you are not getting a full reading of the water column there.
Not being a smart arse, but do you have the installation manual? If you do there are instructions and diagrams on how the transducer should be positioned for each mode. All of the manuals are available to download from Lowrance's site.
Does your transducer mounting look like this? Note the cable coming from the transducer is closest to the trolling motor shaft; if not the transducer is backwards.
The forward bracket is not centered with the center of the shaft at the motor its turned down as shown in the pick Line the gap up with the center of the shaft at the motor shaft connection. Its not off a lot but sometime that is all it takes.
