Vessel Safety Check by CGAUX
If anyone in the middle TN area would like to have a VE/VSC (vessel exam/vessel safety check) performed on their boat please reach out to me. My flotilla has several people qualified to do this in our area. We are mostly covering Percy Priest, Center Hill, and Old Hickory (Cumberland River). If you are towards Clarksville I can get you in touch with the flotilla in that area and the same for eastern TN.
This is a great way to make sure you are up to date with your safety gear and to make sure your boat is ready for the upcoming season. We are not law enforcement and cannot write tickets or issue citations of any kind. If we are unable to sign off on your boat meeting all criteria, we will go over with you the items you need to improve and will work with you to pass and obtain the sticker for 2025. There is no guarantee of this but some insurance companies will give you a small discount for having this check performed. You will have to call your provider to find out.
This is completely free of charge and we will meet you at the boat ramp, marina or even your house if needed. Last year we did a couple at the ramp after a tournament where we could inspect the boats while you did your weigh in. It can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on how in depth you want to get and how much we discuss.

Lots of lookers with no interest. We are not out to get you or report you to authorities if your boat doesn't meet criteria. Our #1 goal is boating safety. We just want you to be safe for yourself, your passengers and everyone else on the water. Feel free to reach out if we can be of service
