    [ATTACH=CONFIG]564428[/ATTACH
    If I can get to load here is a picture of a late model bullet having splash well filled in to fix a big crack from one of the four strokes.

    I would say that could happen. I doubt that is a trending occurrence. Must have been a hidden defect that went undetected.

    Interesting...I knew of some XRS boats that had issues with the bolts sinking in several years ago, I figured those were all taken care of.

    talking to glenn yesterday at fishing expo some of this could have been jackplated related
    just never know. he mentioned with boat anchor 4 strokes a heavy duty jackplate with cross bracing
    is highly recommended..could be true..he sold the boat new i believe motor put on elsewhere everything removed
    when i seen the boat so i cant comment on what was on it. there was a brand new vance plate close by maybe
    it was for it...

    If it is an issue that may reoccur, then Bullet better start investigating and re-enforce the transom. They always had a strong transom, but with the extra weight, who knows. My 21xd has been toting that 300xs around for 18 years and in the water I give it what for. All the hard water runs and bouncing down the wonderful pothole free roads we have, I don’t have any stress cracks on the transom any where. I still think there was an unforeseen issue, but, who knows for sure.

    I would say its from loose/improperly torqued jackplate and engine bolts or a jackplate with a small footprint. The engines do have a lot more torque but the weight difference is minimal.

    I have a 2012 xrd with a 300R on the back for the last 6 years and no problems about weight on the transom. Pick up my new one in a couple of weeks with another 300R
