Planning a trip to Tims Ford. Thinking eraly to mid-March. Any suggestions on when is the best spring window to be there??? Any other info would be greatly appreciated also!! Places to stay, restaurants, etc.??

A little more information on lodging & restaurant preference would be helpful. Are you wanting fishing cabins or hotel? Also, access to boat ramp preferences would also be helpful.

Can't help you on bass fishing... I fish for Hybrids and Stripers on Tims Ford.

A cabin or VRBO would be best. Need enough parking and room for two trucks and boats, and four guys. Any info on boat ramps helps, as I am not sure yet what end of the lkae we will concentrate on but have no problem driving either direction if needed.

The main purpose for Tims Ford is flood control so they drop the lake level by 14 to 15 feet in the winter to prepare for spring rains. It should be up some by March, but how much will determine which ramps are available. The ramp at Devils Step is the best for when the water is at winter pool. Summer pool is 888 and it is currently 874.4.

As for lodging, you might try Tims Ford Marina. They have multi-bedroom cabins and a ramp with plenty of truck/boat parking. They have a restaurant, which was open year round in the past, but it is under new ownership and they closed the restaurant over the winter. I don't know their plans for when it will open back up.
