I love my CX21. It's big and wide and stable and fishes great. I'm big and wide and fat and unstable so that's perfect LOL. Mine goes 69 WOT with a 4 blade 23 Razor XL prop and it has no chine. A kid could drive it easily. I got mine in 2021 and I have no regrets at this point based on other boats I've been in (Triton, Ranger, Skeeter, Nitro).

The used boat market is good for the cash buyer but tough for the seller right now it seems! Higher interest rates and shorter loan terms have slowed it down. So the market depends on which end you are on. Caymas does seem to have taken a hit in value but I'm not planning on selling mine soon.

Ha ha that’s hilarious, I resemble all of those remarks myself. I would say my cat like reflexes are zero at this point, especially with a brand new knee and some miles on my body. Greatly appreciate your input and yes, I’m hopeful that I can capitalize on an opportunity that makes sense for both me and the seller as I’ll be buying the boat outright After selling this saltwater boat. I never really understood why the saltwater boats cost so much more than our bass boats, but they do so that leaves me with a little bit of extra cash to invest in the right rig. Thanks again!

You should consider the Bass Cat Puma STS or Caracal STS. Both are wider than your Puma and have the Bass Cat quality.

Hey Chuck - I am only a short drive from you up in the Savannah area. Holler when you are back on your feet and we can meet somewhere and let you ride in my Caymas. I primarily fish the lower Savannah River here, but fish the all over GA, SC and into Florida. This 19' boat handles the big waters of Santee, Hartwell and Eufaula with ease but handles the small creeks of our rivers and oxbows well.

Thanks so much Billy, that is an incredibly generous gesture, sir. I greatly appreciate it. Will reach out when I get this wheel working properly and back underneath of me. Thanks again and thanks again to all you guys for weighing in on this

Triton 20 or 21XP are the best hulls going right now. I would discard the comment recommending Basscat Eyra. It does perform well but its the tippiest boat I've ever been in. I have had three Caymas and the Triton XPs have everything that is good about Caymas with better performance. Caymas seats are very good but overall, Triton has a better platform in the XP line.

Landar are you saying that Triton has stepped up their quality to that of a Caymas or are you talking about just the speed numbers?

I agree with this, If I had to get a boat with a Mercury I would go with the Triton XP over the Caymas.

Having had both, I see no difference in quality. Triton’s exterior finish will be better.

I’ve owned 2 Tritons. An 02 TR20 and a 16 TRX20. Looked at new Tritons in 23 and didn’t think the quality was anywhere near what I have now. It’s good to hear they have improved the quality.
