Caymas fiberglass fender gap filled with caulk ?

    Howdy,

I was visiting my local Caymas dealer and noticed that there was a gap on the fiberglass fender between the
fender and the trailer. Furthermore, the gap was filled with caulk. Was this a fluke or is this normal on a Caymas?

My only other experience with fiberglass fenders was on a Basscat or Ranger and on those the fit and finish was perfect on the trailer.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

    Take care,

Caymas does not build their own trailers. So that issue would be on the trailer manufacturer. Caymas builds a good boat so I wouldn't let that sway my decision. Happy new year!

I doubt the trailer manufacturer makes the fiberglass fenders. Triton manufactured my replacement glass fenders when some a-hole hit & ran my trailer at the ramp.

My boat sits on a Marine Master trailer and so far no issues. I believe they now use a Benchmark trailer and they have had issues.

If Caymas sold the trailer with the boat it is a Caymas issue.
