    Falcon Storage Lids

How are those large front deck lids holding up long term?

I'm interested in possibly getting a new Falcon boat and was wanting to know how the forward opening storage lids were holding up, the lower prices on these boats at the dealership is getting tough to ignore.

My F205Hybrid is 2 1/2 yrs old and haven't had any issues with any of the lids. I was slamming the lids closed until a dealer told me that could result in cracks.Charles at Wilson Marine will give you a price that's hard to beat. I've had two Bass Cats and two Rangers and my Falcon has not disappointed me.

My F195 is now 3years old. Fished in Florida year round sometimes in extreme heat heavy rain exc. Not one single problem with any deck lids. Love this boat. Fit and finish is the best I have ever had which includes Nitro, BassCat and Triton.

I'm confused on the cracking part I thought Falcon used aluminum lids not fiberglass it would be pretty hard to crack aluminum or do they use fiberglass lids?

They use Aluminum. Only the Hybrids are/were glass.

I've owned two Predators. Never had a problem with the rod lockers.
You prefer the Falcon style real quick once you have them too.

I’ve got a Hybrid. No issues with the lids. Never really slammed them though. I do like design much better. It’s really grown on me.

2018 F205 with zero lid issues. A favorite feature of the boat. My only complaint is when the carpet is soaked, the extra weight pushes the limits of the gas struts that come stock and the lid may close on its own. Would guess they have heavier struts by now.
