    919 Pro XP Sluggish

Looking for recommendations on a heavy loaded 919 for props. Have a 25 Fury on there now and it does great in cooler water and weather, mid to upper 70s and takes off fast as well. Warming up weather/water and adding another battery for the Quest has killed my holeshot. Don’t want to buy another prop and it not work for what I want. Looking for a good take off and as much top end as I can get without too many rpms. Not opposed to 4 blades, but unsure of pitch to try and find. I figure a 24 Fury is my best bet, but don’t really wanna spend that much. There’s a Lazer 2 local to me for a good price. Anybody know how they act on a Phoenix?

That 25" Fury was probably borderline too much prop to begin with. A 23" will most likely get the rpm's needed.

Having played the prop game a few times I would totally agree. A 23 Tempest is what should be on it. Adjust hole shot with vent plugs if needed.

Did you add the 25? Mine came with a 24. Mid to upper 70’s ain’t bad.

Run whatever pitch prop allows you too turn 6150-6200rpms. Your boat will perform so much better all the way around.

Dealer ordered it with it on. He said he used to race boats for Mark Croxton and that the 25 was fastest if you run light. My boat performs awesome with light to medium load and a 24V troller. Before I put power poles on it and 1/2 tank of gas I got 79.8 going down a local river with some current. It will still go 74 with all the weight I have now, just slow getting out of the hole. Too many stumps around here to be jackin around plowing. I don’t turn but 5650 at 74 either! If it could get the rpm range up it would be sick!

Yeah I run middle of the road on weight and I run a 24 Fury 4 for handling and holeshot. The 24 3 blade is my backup prop. It’s faster but doesn’t have the holeshot or handling. I’m sure there’s somebody on the props page that has a 24 for sale or trade

I can't hardly get above 5650 at sea level with my 919 4 stroke. Had it to 75 once but usually top at 70-72. Wiht a 23p fury 3.

I'm surprised you are running 72 at 5650. I have a 24 Fury, hole shot and handling is great and at 72 i am 5850 that's about max for me, at 5600ish I am at 65-68ish.

I would like to try a 23 to see what it does. I wonder if I could turn 6000 and run run upper 70's??
