Was wondering if or which chatterbait is as good or better, z man jack hammers or Picasso shock blades, Berkley chatterbaits.

I prefer the Jackhammer and my second choice is the Thunder Cricket. I have tried the Slobber Knocker but I just can't bond with it for some reason.

I like Z-man, the blade hits against the head because there’s no o-ring connecting the two and they’re easier to find than the thundercricket

If you can't get by the price of the higher end chatterbaits...the chatterbait custom, a tacklewarehouse exclusive will catch them good. On sale right now as well.

Original Zman chatter bait, get them on sale for $3 or so.... I cannot see enough difference to pay 5X for the Jack hammer. As a matter of fact just caught an 8.4 on original chatter bait...... And beat a guy throwing a a jack hammer... multiple times.

The best chatterbait that I've ever thrown was the original RAD chatterbait. Almost every one of them would "hunt." Once the word got out about the chatterbait, they hired ZMan to help make them in order to meet demand. Then, ZMan bought the company and instituted a lot of changes to the original design in order to mass produce them. The originals are still the best, if you can find them. The only other baits that come close to the originals are some homemade ones.

That can't be true, you have to spend the big bucks to catch any on them lol. It's funny to me that zman took the original clip/line tie off the original chatterbait and put it on the jackhammer and jacked up the price and put a crap straight wire line attachment on the original that hinders the movement. That original clip is what allows the bait to vibrate more freely, that's the only real difference in the 2 lures.
