    Garmin 93sv flashes and powers down

    After taking my unit out of my winter setup and installing on the boat…it won’t power up properly…redid all fuses, checked battery voltage…it’s actually making my other things on the same buss circuit flash as well…feel like it might be cooked? Super low hours on it…flashes five or six times and shuts off…tried putting it back in the winter setup and same thing…used it once in December and been stored indoors since…

    Try hooking it directly to a battery, not a buss bar. It sounds like there are too many things hooked up to the buss bar. If it still flashes then contact Garmin.

    Your battery is no good. What voltage does it show at battery and on screen? Take it to an Auto Parts store and let them load test it.

    Pulled it off and tried it on a fully charged battery…the screen doesn’t come on long enough to get anything from it…even bypassed fuses to make sure they weren’t the problem…I think it has to be the head itself at this point…will reach out to Garmin on Monday …

    Did you have it out of the cradle during storage ?
    Have you tried popping it out of the cradle and putting it back into the cradle ?
    Test the power cord to cradle for voltage
    Test the cradle without the head unit in it for voltage

    To check voltage on the power cord , unscrew it from the unit
    Looking at the cord end with the little notch at the top , the top right is + the bottom right is -
    the pins on the left are unused nmea 183

    I dont have a uhd93sv anymore but with the power cord connected to the cradle ;
    In the cradle I want to say the far right top is + far right bottom is -
    testing for voltage on other pins by mistake should`nt be a problem , just dont cross them , and if your networked probably be a good idea to disconnect this units ethernet cable

    Maybe your charger is no good. What voltage are the batteries?

    If it was never removed from cradle, could be some corrosion on terminals/pins in the rear....

    One of my 93UHD was doing that recently - swapped it with one of the others and both are working fine. Suspect poor contact at the cradle. I didn't see any corrosion.
