Solix15 as Electronic Dashboard for Current Model Yamaha 200SHO?

Can a 1y/o Solix15 be used as an electronic dashboard for a current model Yamaha 200SHO? I am currently getting quotes on a 200SHO & would like to be able to use my Solix15 as a display instead of having to mount a separate head unit.

The answer is yes, but exactly how you do it varies with the brand and model of motor. If you don't have a NMEA 2000 backbone already, you will need to add that, as I think all the solutions go through the NMEA 2000 backbone to get to the Solix. I even have my old 2008 Mercury 150 Verado connected to my NMEA 2000 backbone by a Mercury gateway and it worked great with my Solix G1, G2, G3, as well as my current Apex units.
