Kia and Hyundai would be last on my list with all the engine issues. Toyota, Honda, or mazda

Do the smart thing and get into a Toyota or a Honda.

Look at the resale value of the Kia’s, and the Hyundai’s and compare them to the Toyota’s and Honda’s if you want any proof of why.

Drive a Mazda before you commit. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

CX90 is a great vehicle. I honestly would have never even considered a Mazda until my friend got one. It's nicer then THE telluride, the Highlander and 4Runner. It's every bit as nice as the 15k more Lexus.
Like mentioned above do yourself a favor and at least go look at one. A ton of vehicle for the money

Honda we have a Pilot we bought the first year they were made in 2003. Still is great with over 265,000 miles. They just don't wear out.

Wife drives a 2015 Elantra. Since Hyundai and Kia cut corners on the theft safety I will not buy either. Her insurance cost doubled after all the thefts.

most trucks I see aren’t used for their intended purposes either but people buy them just because they want a truck.

Thanks for the opinions. I will check into the Mazda. Toyota seems to be the favorite so far. Mom had a 87 Camry. Made it to 325,000 miles before she sold it.

Then it happened after the husband drove it so they've backed off that angle. Apparently it's not unheard of if you do a little research online but there hasn't been a recall yet. Not sure if anyone has even diagnosed it yet. I guess there's a little gremlin under the hood messing with it.
Didn’t know the Ascent had that issue. I just mentioned it due to the third row seating. My wife and I are Outback and Forester people. They have been flawless for us. Several guys I work with along with friends of ours have owned Subaru’s for many years and have excellent experiences with them. Not to mention the sky high miles you can rack up on them.

Yes you are correct. We have the Grand touring 2015. Would buy another one if something happens to ours. Gonna drive it until it dies!

Mazda... No CVT transmission, 2.5 non turbo motor. Mazda has equal reliability to Toyota and Honda. You can get a turbo if you want, but not necessary.

    Subaru- we have an outback
Coolant- must use Subaru "Coolant Coditioner" under warranty.....that conditioner is a European brand stop leak! The reason its in the manual, they blow head gaskets! I know you can do it with out this, but the service manual states to lift engine to change the spark plugs......
