    Topwater Line Recommendations

I've been using Yozuri hybrid for about 15 years and finally need to order more. Typically I use the 12# because it has actual breaking strenght of more like 17 based on my tests. Lots of gars so like a stout line that does not get nicked up easily. I see PLine has a line marketed at topwater fishing. Anyone try it? Any other reco's for a heavy line that casts a long way? I'd go yozuri again as it has been very good.

also, any issues throwing lipless cranks with it.

    thanks

I've always just thrown whatever kind of mono I can get at Walmart. Never seen much difference in any mono line. Big Game is cheap

Trilene XL has been working well for me for the past 40 years. If you want something stouter, go to XT. No need to over complicate things.

If the yo Zuri has been good to you, I'd just stick with it IMO.

My fishing buddy and I both use the P Line topwater line and like it. But as said above any mono or copoly will work just fine.

Braid for everything but prop baits. I use mono for the prop baits.

15lb big game for most topwaters. Go down to 10 or 12 for a 1/4oz yellow magic.
