Who is fishing in front of Garett?

Is that some ignorant, clueless spectator? Looks like Garrett’s got a rare big fish honey hole.

I saw them pan out earlier and there was a read and white Stroker fishing but I wouldn't have called it close.

Why the name calling? Isn’t it public water?

While I would Give Way to someone fishing a pro tour I don’t feel it’s necessary! They did not buy the lake for that day. If I was already fishing a spot and one came in on me and asked politely if he could share or have the area I would say sure you can. But if I was told to leave chit might get crazy.

I will make way for anyone who relies on fishing for a living.
    But that is just me.

Me too. Unless I have very limited time to get out on the water.

Yep Cody Huff and John Garret were sharing that water and kept a distance from each other May have been another boat around but never pressed them from what I saw . If I was there and not in that event I would let them have it observed how they fished it and go elsewhere. Probably would have gone to another lake to start with .One with more grass in it and less spraying herbicides. Just not neccessary grass is a good filter, habitat and produces oxygen and cover. that area could go off big time tommaro especially if the wind picks up .

That’s just normal etiquette for the locals down there on the Chain.

I was surprised my first time fishing there how the locals are, especially towards tournament anglers.

The locals have a right to fish where they want. As do the people just visiting.

I certainly wouldn't pester a pro fishing a certain area, but if I was there first I wouldn't be inclined to move until I had finished working the spot.

I just can’t agree. Guy making his living vs. weekend fisherman, I just wouldn’t.

Although i would let them have it if i was there first & they wasn't an ahole about it nobody has to give up public water for anybody period. If they tell me i need to leave i'm not going anywhere until i'm good & ready period.

If there is a major tournament, I normally don’t fish during that time, but I can fish anytime I want so……

Fun fishing or Pro tournament, IMHO etiquette is NO different. If I go to a spot and ANYONE is there I leave, if I am on a spot and someone wants to fish the same spot, WTF, They can leave!

If you know someone is/has caught em on a spot and you purposely beat them there, then your a D**k H**d.

Shouldn’t make any difference. Who ever was there first gets to fish there. But if the pro asked nice I would give it to him. But ifn he was an a hole. I am not leaving.

It’s public water. Just because some guy is exploiting it for his own monitory gain doesn’t give him rights over the others fishing/enjoying the resource. Your thought process is very ignorant and why so many despise tournaments and the entitled attitudes from some of the participants and guys like you.

Do you guys drive on highways?

Truckers are making their living every day on them and sharing the road with the public.
