    196 champion jacket plate bolts

    What should I put on them to seal them and what is the torque on them

    55 lb from jog plate to transom and I believe it's 90 Jack plate to motor.
    To seal them use 3M 4200

    Correct on the torque but any marine silicone for above/below waterline works just fine and you won't lose gel coat when you remove them.

    Avoid 3M 5200. It is a strong adhesive and will be very difficult to remove in the future.

    C Man turned me onto Starbrite marine silicone sealant years ago and that has always worked well for me. The 4200 is great and I really like the workability of 3M 4000 UV.
