Helix 9 view images

Is it possible to "stack" a conventional 2D image on top of a Di image for viewing? I've seen it on you tube but my Helix 4gn doesn't seem to be able to do that? Am I missing something?

Not with a Humminbird unit.

Lowrance has that, it's call FishReveal.

I don't know what you mean by "stack", but I have had several combination screens with 2 to 4 panels on both Solix and Apex where I have 2D displayed over the DI imaging. The attached picture shows an example. Although many people prefer the fish arches in 2D, I find the DI more helpful in my Striper trolling outings. Sometimes the combination of both is helpful though.

Unfortunately, with Helix, you can't define your own custom views... You only have what Humminbird has defined in the software.

Bullet, What items are you trying to change? and why. There are so many items you can change it can get confusing. Look at some of the Helix tube stuff. Use the simulator to try all of them and get a feel for what you can enhance or tone down or anything else. Don’t do much of the practice while you are trying to fish. The Technological angler has great HB info on finders. He knows how to teach.(is a collage professor). Have fun learning!! Bob

The Helix gives me a screen with three images. 2D on top, DI on bottom and Chart on the left. I'd be a happy camper without the chart on that view. Saw what I am looking for on a you tube article but unsure how they got it.

I don't have access to my Helix at the moment but go into "views" and make sure they're all set to "visible" then go back to your regular sonar screen and scroll through the different views and you'll see all the different combinations. If it isn't there then it isn't possible.

So one pane above the other is what you want. Helix units don't have that view and you cannot create any custom views with a Helix.
If you want that view, you will need a SOLIX or APEX. Then you can create most any combination of a 2-pane, 3-pane, or 4-pane.

This is one of the many standard views that a SOLIX has. You can create the reverse of that view if you want.
