Matt Robertson Swimbait on day three of the classic ?

Was a bone /white colored mag draft style looking bait, anyone know exactly what it was that he caught the 6 1/2 pounder on?

Mentioned on the classic baits used thread, but sure looked like a 8" magdraft. He was quick to huck that thing in the water.

Put them side by side....there are obvious differences.

    not from 10 feet away.

my point is that he was not throwing just cull shads because it was obvious on TV it was a magdraft and at one point a "magdraft style" bait but with a removable top hook

the BM swimbait took a lot of the magdraft characteristics and improved upon them.

I thought he was throwing a couple different ones based on what he showed Friday vs Sunday.

When the money or classic is on the line you find out what these guys really believe in and now what they "claim" to believe in. Vision 110+1 won it, in my opinion it's the absolute best jerk bait in the world and it's not even close. And then the 8 inch magdraft. Lots of duplicates but when the classic is on the line you see what what they reach or and it's for good reason.

The 1999 Bassmaster Classic in New Orleans was won by Davy Hite. In the post tournament TV BASS Classic show they showed footage of Hite fishing. While they were describing the new creature bait (brush hog style) made by Gambler that Dave Hite caught his fish on, the video is showing Hite boating a good fish with a chartreuse squarebill. I recorded the show on my VCR as I fish that area. I rewound and stopped the tape numerous times before I could confirm what my eye caught in a second while the video was playing. Nothing against Hite and BASS, and I am sure the new bait from Gambler won the tournament, but I always found this to be funny and an unfortunate bit of editing. It has been going on a long time!

For all around jerkbait the 110 really is the standard and hard to beat. Other models have their place for specific purposes, but if you told anglers you can only have 1 jerkbait for the rest of your life, I think most would go vision 110 or maybe vision 110+1
