I think some states restrict hunting only to game animals that have a named season, in other states everything is legal as "non-game" if not stated otherwise. In Virginia it would be legal since limits are not restricted by a named season. No different than groundhogs

Virginia does have a groundhog season, it just happens to be open year round. I think there has to a mention of an animal for it to be killed.

No answer is almost the same as a yes.I read where a man called Washington Dept. of fish and game to inquire if he could legally hunt sasquatch. They didn't have an answer and transferred him to the county sheriff's office that did not have an answer either. Might not be a good idea if you're a hairy guy to run around in the woods naked.
