    20 vee NOSE DIVE!!??

Just bought a 92 model 20 vee 200 hp Johnson and ratchet style jack plate I have never had a boat with a jack plate it is all the way up when the motor is trimmed all the way down it seems to low like the exhaust ports are almost under water the boat seems like its trying to nose dive when up on pad and running I can trim it out till I start to lose water pressure and it makes no difference steering is also extremely tight and doesn’t free up would lowering the jack plate solve this has anyone ever had this problem

What pitch prop? How does it come out of the hole? As far as where it should be on the jack plate I would think 1" below the pad would be a good start?

I agree with Bullet fan on starting at 1” below the pad. I owned a 20VEE years ago and it would get stupid high in the nose with a lot of trim left.
